Project DescriptionWater levels change naturally due to precipitation and temperature. In the region, most lakes show a clear pattern with higher lake levels during the winter when precipitation is greatest. As summer get dryer and hotter, evaporation sets in and lake levels drop until the beginning of fall.
But not every lake reacts the same way to precipitation and temperature. Our project aims to look at the different patterns that lakes exhibit and understand what drives these patterns. We are also interested in looking at the ecological implications. We ask ourselves questions such as: How important are changes in water levels for water quality? |
DataAs we accumulate data, we want to share it with everyone, whether your a scientist or a concerned citizen.
